Priority investment areas
Customer-focused investment
In 2015, FPC spent RUB 16.3 billion to improve its customer
experience through a number of initiatives, including:

Transit time reduction and enhancement of passenger
experience and transport safety by purchasing new highly
efficient passenger carriages with improved performance and
passenger comfort (185 new carriages worth RUB 12.6 billion).

Passenger carriages overhauls with service life extension (189
carriages for RUB 3.1 billion).
In addition, RUB 0.4 billion was spent on the implementation of
information technology innovations.
Investment in safety
RUB 0.5 billion was invested in 2015 in enhancing safety and
quality of passenger services.
Major investments in transport safety included:

RUB 0.2 billion to replace retiring rolling stock;

RUB 0.2 billion to ensure the compliance of FPC’s facilities with
fire safety requirements;

RUB 0.1 billion to install new frames, bolsters and 1,520 mm
gauge bogies during scheduled carriage repairs.
Modernisation and innovative development
In 2015, FPC invested RUB 0.7 billion to maintain its existing
production facilities and introduce innovative solutions, including
RUB 0.2 billion spent on the installation of water and air
purification systems in passenger carriages.
Investment in energy efficiency
RUB 0.3 billion was spent in 2015 on energy efficiency
improvements, including:

RUB 0.2 billion invested in the installation of pellet boilers in
passenger carriages;

RUB 0.1 billion to install automatic radiant heating systems in
passenger carriages.
