Optimisation of product offering

FPC continues efforts to improve its product offering.

Based on the approved product matrix for passenger services, in 2015, the Company developed the Service Quality Standards for all service classes (Basic, Economy, Business and Deluxe) in long-distance trains.

The standardisation effort resulted in a set of standards for the services provided to passengers on long-distance trains.

On 1 February 2016, the Company approved and introduced the following standards:

• Service Quality Standards for Deluxe Class Carriages in Long-Distance Trains;
• Service Quality Standards for Business Class Carriages in Long-Distance Trains;
• Service Quality Standards for Economy Class Carriages in Long-Distance Trains;
• Service Quality Standards for Basic Class Carriages in Long-Distance Trains.

FPC will arrange for tests of the above service standards on the train services covered by a pilot.

Development of key skills and competencies in major functional areas.

As part of the effort to develop a corporate project management system at FPC, the Company’s Strategic Development Department established the Strategic Project Management Unit, a team responsible for management of strategic projects. The unit integrates project management competencies in FPC.

Another unit established in the Company is tasked with the development of a corporate project management system and a relevant regulatory framework and methodology support at FPC, as well as with the management of the strategic project portfolio. The corporate project management system is supported with a recently launched information portal, which is continually enhanced.

A series of training sessions and master classes was organised to train FPC employees in project management. A steering committee was established to manage strategic projects. The Company approved regulations on bonuses for employees involved in FPC’s strategic projects.
